Today is Pregnancy & Infant Loss Awareness Day. To everyone who has ever experienced such a loss, I know the heartache and I’m sending you lots of love and virtual hugs 💗💗💗#pregnancyandinfantlossawareness
I remember years before I conceived this little guy, one of the midwives at the Whittington hospital told me point blank that my age would be a problem, the only problem, when trying to conceive. She pitied me, not only because of the miscarriage that was to come only days later, but because I actually (foolishly) believed I could carry another baby despite being older. Well the day I went into labour last year, as they wheeled me into the labour ward, I passed that midwife in the hall and I quietly smiled to myself. She obviously didn’t recognise me but I felt incredible in that moment. Regardless of what people say, including medical professionals, never give up hope. #miscarriage #ttc #tryingtoconceive #pregnancy #childbirth #fertility #infertility #babies #motherhood
